About
The smart friend who did the reading.
Meet Midlife exists because women in perimenopause and menopause are searching hard for answers, and much of what they find is outdated, unsourced, or trying to sell them something.
Who we are
We’re a small independent publisher. We are not doctors or clinicians, and we won’t pretend to be. We read guidance from groups like The Menopause Society, ACOG and the NIH, and the research behind it, then write it up in plain English.
Editorial standards
- Every health claim links to a source: professional societies, government health agencies, or peer-reviewed research.
- We say when evidence is mixed or thin, and we don’t present patterns as diagnoses.
- Dates on everything. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
- Evidence-checked, not clinically reviewed. We plan to bring on a licensed, menopause-experienced clinician to review our content. Until then, we won’t describe anything here as clinically reviewed.
- Money is separate from information. If we ever earn from a partner or product, we’ll label it clearly and keep it out of our guidance.
Who runs this
